5 Matches from "Retired" wrestlers in 2019

Image
2019 has seen some...Interesting things, to say the least. But one of those things is the fact that wrestlers seemingly came out of retirement to either have that "feelgood story," or just "one more match." It's no secret that money talks, and money surely talked these competitors to atleast consider the idea. That said, we're gonna' take a look at 5 Matches from "retired" wrestlers in 2019. 5. Shane McMahon (WrestleMania) So what do you get when you put psycho daredevil Shane McMahon in a falls count anywhere match with The Miz? Gold! This match only suffered from being placed in a stacked five hour card. This was one of The Miz best matches in recent memory! The ending when The Miz suplexed Shane off the platform is what you expect from Shane but was a shocker for the “safe and soft” Miz! At the end they delivered a great match! 4. Batista (WrestleMania) I had the joy of being at Raw when this feud kicked off! When Batis

5 Things to look for in the Wednesday Night Wars

Image
If there's one thing that's been certain so far during the Wednesday Night Wars, it's that you can expect the unexpected. From ratings grabs, to surprise debuts, we've seen quite a bit so far. And the beauty is we're just getting started. So today, we're going to be looking at 5 things to look for as we continue down the Wednesday Night Wars! 5. NXT Viewer Increase? WWE pulled out all the stops Sunday to prove that NXT are on the same level, if not better than Raw and Smackdown! Shows that Vince will do anything to pull out a win when he is in a war. Now the major question is out of the new audience how much of the key demo did he reach. Also out of the new audience how many of them will tune in Wednesday night. My prediction is NXT does 1.1 million AT LEAST! 4. AEW's  first loss The Wednesday night war was very one sided for 7 straight weeks, but NXT finally pulled out a victory. AEW for the first time have to prove that they can overco

5 Dream matches for CM Punk

Image
So with the return of Cm Punk to WWE Backstage everyone has their fantasy booking caps on and the universe is going crazy. Even though he is saying he is not actively pursuing a in-ring return that is what will make it even better when he surprise the world and step back in the ring. I personally think NXT would be great because it's a lot of new faces for him to fight and the story with him dismantling Triple H’s creation just writes itself. But let's dive right into it, and look at 5 Dream Matches...For CM Punk! 5. Andrade This is just a case of putting two great competitors and just letting then have a great “rasslin” match. This is the future taking on the best in the world at what he does and they would create an instant classic. You would get to see Zelina Vega cut promos with CM Punk that would be crazy. CM Punk has the skills to elevate new talent to new heights, and that would benefit Andrade. 4. Matt Riddle Now back when CM Punk was the biggest wrestler

5 Things that must happen at Survivor Series 2019

Image
With WWE hands tied behind their backs because of travel issues, they still managed to pull off one of the greatest invasion angles in WWE history. They created enough buzz to not only close the gap between AEW Dynamite and NXT viewership, they manage to hype up a pay per view nobody cared about a few weeks ago. The job isn’t over yet Vinny Mac still has to put on a great show on November 24th! Here are the 5 things that WWE has to do at Survivor Series 2019! 5. Spread The Wins out We all remember last year where Smackdown only got a pre show win and the commentary team didn’t even acknowledge that it even happened. This year especially with NXT being involved, the worst thing that could happen is one brand just pure dominate. Furthermore you can’t buried any brand either; WWE needs to find a nice balance. 4. Utilizing Rey Mysterio So WWE has done this weird thing where I have false hope for Rey Mysterio. They booked this feud where I not only want Rey to win, but I

5 Bold Predictions for AEW Full Gear

Image
AEW has been a smash hit on TNT. Airing head-to-head with NXT on USA, the Wednesday Night Wars have been firing on all cylinders. And if you're a ratings nut, you'll see AEW has won every single week since debuting. With that comes their first PPV since airing on TV and that's this Saturdays Full Gear. In addition to us running it down on the latest episode of the podcast, we're going to take a look at 5 Bold Predictions for Full Gear. 5. The Young Bucks and LAX will steal the show This shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone. The Bucks can have a great match with anyone, and LAX is well, LAX. They're a team that was briefly considered the hottest free agents in wrestling until AEW scooped them up. Is this a bold prediction? Not really. It's more a less a very obvious fact that I feel like not too many people are talking about. Which makes it bold. I think. Bottom line, the way both teams have been used makes me wonder just how long this match will go

Top 5 Wrestling Themes today

Image
Nothing can get a crowd beyond hyped more than hearing an opening guitar riff, or an awesome set of vocals. It can define wrestlers, and sometimes even help propel them into superstardom. From the themes of Ted Dibiase and Hulk Hogan all the way to The Undisputed Era and Brock Lesnar, there's something special about hearing your favorites (Or non favorites) theme song. With that said, lets take a look at 5 of the top wrestling themes today. 5. Cody After starting AEW just last year, Cody set out to change the wrestling world. What he probably also had in mind though, was an awesome theme song. And that's what we got with this Downstait song. You know, the same group behind The Miz's theme? Yeah, well Cody had them draw up a song for him in AEW and it's downright awesome. The lyrics alone sounded like they were written just for him, and the guitar matches that AEW attitude that the company carries with them. 4. Ricochet Ricochet is called "The One And

5 Wrestlers who should have movies about them

Image
Wrestling can be a strange, strange world. We've seen it all from male cheerleaders, to an egg hatching at Survivor Series. Yet there's something about this strange world that makes us comeback for more. But what about the ones who have seen a lot of things behind the curtain? The same ones that drive the sport of Pro Wrestling? Today we are going to take a look at 5 Wrestlers who deserve a movie about them. 5. Perry Saturn I feel as though the move "The Wrestler" could have been loosely based on Saturn as it is. Through drug use, brain damage, and a slew of different promotions, there's no doubt that his story would make for a great movie. And of course we can't forget about the time that he stopped a sexual assault from happening. After getting shot, he went about his business like normal. What a mad man he is. And no, the mop wouldn't be included. 4. Hulk Hogan Hogan would absolutely be the most controversial name on this list. But imagin

5 Best AEW matches so far

Image
AEW has absolutely taken the wrestling world by complete storm. And has a good reason to. Seen as the first true competitor to WWE since WCW in 2001, AEW has one sole mission: To be themselves. That may include some digs at WWE here and there, but hey. For the most part, they know their lane and stay in it. With that said, we're gonna' take a look at the 5 best AEW matches...So far. 5. Cody vs Darby Allin (Fyter Fest) If this match was design strictly to get over Darby Allin, they more than succeeded. In a match where no one expected them to go the full Time Limit, they did. And they did it with so much heart behind it, I'd pay top dollar to see them do it again. When you mix a guy like Cody and a guy like Darby, you don't expect them to have a such a high caliber match. And that's where we're all wrong. It's not about the "Win" or the "Loss." It was about showing the emotion in the ring. And I get the feeling that another match on

5 Bold Predictions for HIAC

Image
The wrestling world right now is absolutely booming, and we're at the forefront of it as fans. From RAW on Monday, to NXT and AEW Wednesdays and Friday Night Smackdown, it's safe to say that wrestling is readily available to us no matter where we are. And as fun times as it is to be a fan, sometimes, there are just some you're not too sure of. That's where we're at with Hell In A Cell this Sunday. The build has been far from amazing, and we're left scratching our heads. But fear not, as we rank our 5 Bold Predictions for Hell In A Cell! 5. More matches to be added As of writing, there's only 3 matches announced for the show. Yep, you read that right, a whopping three matches. Not taking anything away from them, but we are merely days away with only a Smackdown Live to go. If WWE doesn't understand how this is a problem, maybe they need to reconsider there jobs. Fact is by now, we should have a stacked card. Not something that's only half-assed

5 Biggest Draft "Busts" in WWE History

Image
There's been plenty of good moments that the Draft has given us. We've seen John Cena move to RAW in 05, The Dudleyz splitting up and giving us Reverend D-Von. Organically, a lot of good can and should happen from the Draft. But what if I told you that not everything is rainbows and sunshine when it comes to the Draft? Here, we are taking a look at 5 Biggest Draft "Busts" in WWE History. 5. Jim Ross to SDLive (2008) You know, this one irks me to no end. I can picture Vinnie Mac in the back with his chest puffed out going "HaHa! I'm going to pull one over on JR! He won't know he's getting drafted!" It's no secret that Vince loved trolling JR backstage, and this is just another example. Why waste a pick on an announcer? Just why? You don't see college coaches getting drafted to NFL teams. So why would you do that here? They should've spent picks more wisely than making a joke out of it. 4. Hurricane Helms to ECW (2009)
