5 Bold Predictions for AEW Full Gear

AEW has been a smash hit on TNT. Airing head-to-head with NXT on USA, the Wednesday Night Wars have been firing on all cylinders. And if you're a ratings nut, you'll see AEW has won every single week since debuting. With that comes their first PPV since airing on TV and that's this Saturdays Full Gear. In addition to us running it down on the latest episode of the podcast, we're going to take a look at 5 Bold Predictions for Full Gear.

5. The Young Bucks and LAX will steal the show
This shouldn't come to a surprise to anyone. The Bucks can have a great match with anyone, and LAX is well, LAX. They're a team that was briefly considered the hottest free agents in wrestling until AEW scooped them up. Is this a bold prediction? Not really. It's more a less a very obvious fact that I feel like not too many people are talking about. Which makes it bold. I think. Bottom line, the way both teams have been used makes me wonder just how long this match will go too.

4. Moxley and Omega will steal the show
Yep, you read that right. Two matches that can steal the show. And it's pretty obvious why. Moxley and Omega has been brewing for some time and at one point was even put off due to Jon Moxley's staph infection. Somewhere, Punk was watching and was amazed he's wrestling again. Anyway, the fact that this is a "Lights Out" match and won't count on either mans record is kind of baffling. It's more so the booking that trips me up. Now we see how AEW will work around the win/loss record, to justify championship opportunities. Well played AEW. Well played.

3. More Womens matches will be announced
As of this writing, there's only one womens match with a total of 8 matches on the card. I'm expecting a match, maybe two matches to be added to either the main card or their YouTube channel. That said, why not add Awesome Kong into the mix somehow and toss her a lowly competitor? It's clear AEW is going to do something big with her and Brandi, so you might as well jump start it at Full Gear. The question is will they? It's not a secret that many fans have been left dissapointed by AEW's lack of a Women's division, and this could be the chance to steer the ship.

2. Joey Janela and Shawn Spears will become hardcore
Now, let me start off by saying that this match doesn't even need a stipulation. This match more or less seemed like it was shoe horned into the main show. I'm fine with that. Both men are gifted athletes. To say that they need weapons would be an injustice. But look at their patterns: Pliers to the tongue, followed by a couple of chairshots on Dynamite. I'm not saying this SHOULD be a hardcore match. But it has the makings of it.

1. MJF turns on Cody
I feel like this is a safe bet. We all know eventually he's going to turn on Cody. Or maybe that's what AEW wants us to think. Regardless, how poetic would it be if MJF costed Cody the shot at AEW gold? On top of it, Cody wouldn't be able to challenge for that Championship again. If you're going to pull that trigger, now would absolutely be the time to do it. MJF hasn't done much of anything since joining AEW, outside of being Cody's BFF. So let's atleast strike while the iron's hot. Because if you don't and it's too late, it's going to lose steam.

And that's our list! Have any bold predictions? Sound off below or on Twitter!
