5 Superstars who wouldn't benefit from going to AEW

The talk about people jumping ship to Cody and The Young Bucks' All Elite Wrestling is insane. The moment that someone sighs, coughs, sneezes or Hell, fumble over their words we're mentioning it. That's not a bad thing at all; Having this kind of competition is just what the industry needs. It needs to have options. Up until recently, WWE was the only option. But now that it's changed, wrestlers are salivating at the chance to work with All Elite Wrestling. However, what happens if you jump ship, and it's not as cracked up as you may think? What if you get lost in the shuffle in the new promotion? What if you decide to go back to the Indy's or to WWE? Well, today we look at the 5 Superstars who would NOT benefit from a jump to AEW. Side note, for this list, it wasn't restricted to just WWE. Anyone is fair game.

5: CM Punk
The hype for a CM Punk return is far too real. Everyone and their mother wants him to return to the wrestling ring once again. It's been 5 years since Punk last graced our TV's from WWE. And we STILL can't seem to let it go. While he's still under contract to UFC, fans have all wondered if a return to wrestling is still on the table. The fact of the matter is, most people would enjoy a second run from The Second City Saint. I know I would. However, there's two problems with this: 1) Punk has made it very clear he does not want to have anything to do with the wrestling industry, and 2) He's happy. Bottom line, you can't wrestle if you're not happy or healthy. While he may be healthier now than his time in the company, you can't put a price tag on what will make you happy (Ahem, unless you're HBK in Saudi Arabia), but nevertheless, Punk returning to wrestling has gone from a pipe bomb to a pipe dream.

4: Dean Ambrose
I'll admit, this one was very hard for me to write. There's a small part of me that wants to see him in the ring with the likes of (As of this writing, not yet but still) Kenny Omega or Joey Janela. And while his name recognition alone is something worth riding home about, can you really see him there? Can you really envision the former Jon Moxley, who battered his body for years in CZW apart of a startup, wrestling based show? It's very difficult. I'm not saying he couldn't do it. If anyone has the...Moxie (Sigh...Sorry.) to do it, it's him. A former WWE Champion in his own right, Dean Ambrose is far from incapable. But, there's always going to be something that always makes me think of WWE whenever I see him. I don't know, perhaps this one is a gut feeling.

3: Ryback
Can I just be honest for a good second? I want to go on record to say that I loved Ryback in WWE. The "Feed More More" chants, along with him calling his opponents "Stupid," to that kiss with Paul Hey---Okay, we won't mention that one. Anyway, Ryback may not have always been the best talker, but his strength was unlike anything we've ever seen in wrestling before. That being said however, it's hard for me to imagine "The Big Guy" being their "Top Guy". Looking at AEW's roster, it would be hard trying to find someone who could really match up with his intensity. It's not out of the realm of possibility, but it's hard. Ryback himself has gone on to say that he's just more focused about getting healthy, which you can't blame him. WWE's grueling schedule is barbaric enough, and it's hard to find ways of getting healthy. But now that he has the time, it's good to see him doing well.

2: Kassius Ohno
The hard hitting Kassius Ohno from NXT has been the subject of confusion these past few years. The former Chris Hero went from being an internet darling to an NXT signee, then back to an internet darling, right back to NXT. Now, many are comparing him to Dolph Ziggler, being the companies "Gatekeeper," if you will of that next level spot. While Kassius has a mean right hook that could help him out, he seems to can't keep his emotions in check. There has been rumblings about him being unhappy with this position (As he has every right to), but jumping ship to AEW may only lower his worth. For now, perhaps it's best to play kissup, and maybe it will help him in the long run.

1: Bobby Lashley
Look, we all know that there's a TON of unhappinesss in WWE. We all know that tension is without a doubt at an all time high for the company. However, that does not mean that talent need to start looking elsewhere, and Lashley is that guy. He is someone that Vinnie Mac has always had a crush on given his build. While right now working with Lio Rush might not be the most over thing in his career, he needs to ride it out. He needs to realize that life can only get better from here on out with his chaaracter.
