5 Takeaways from the Moxley Interview

Image
5 Takeaways from the Moxley Interview Jon Moxley set the wrestling world on fire last weekend. In what some would say was an "expected shock" debut on AEW's Double or Nothing, he made a statement. And that statement was he is NOT Dean Ambrose. He has been freed from his WWE culture. And the best part is now we can see the man shine. Shortly after however, he got interviewed on Talk Is Jericho. It was awesome, and today we are looking at 5 takeaways from that interview! 5: His creative status There's something to be said when a wrestler genuinely does not like where he/she is at creatively. And Moxley was no exception. He mentioned how Vince had tried using a pooper scooper as a prop for him...Yeah. A pooper scooper. The problem is, Vince was allegedly the only one who found this to be somewhat amusing. Thankfully he got he changed. To a gas mask. But hell, to use a pooper scooper is a...crappy situation. 4: Friendship with Jericho Chirs Jericho is

5 Things to Expect from AEW Double or Nothing

The first show under the AEW banner is set to take place this weekend. And not only is it considered a highly anticipated show, but has potential to arguably be the best show of the year. And not Super Showdown, like WWE may have you believe. Speaking of WWE, you can "bet" (See what I did there?) That they have their eyes on Saturday night. With that said, here are 5 thing we can expect from AEW's first show! 5: High Production Value It's no secret that the key to a great wrestling product is the value you put in it. When certain acoustics, lighting and camera angles are in effect, the result is great. And AEW should have just that. If it's anything like All In, the unofficial first show of AEW, they should be just fine. There's not shame in having a partially gritty appearance as long as the in-ring content matches what you are trying to do. 4. A HIGHLY animated crowd Crowd reactions in this day in age are everything. They can flat out ma

5 Bold predictions for MITB

5 Bold Predictions for MITB This Sunday is WWE's annual Money in the Bank PPV. While the audience seems to be split 50/50 on the card, there's not doubt there will be atleast one match to steal the show. And other matches...Well...We likely won't be talking about them after the show. That said, we're taking a look at our bold predictions for the PPV! 5: Braun Strowman will win MITB This may seem odd given the fact he lost to Sami Zayn for a spot in the match. However, what's not to say that Braun absolutely destroys Sami beforehand, entering the match himself? While it might seem like a crazy idea, it is WWE in 2019. And frankly, I wouldn't put it past them to do something like that. Either way, I feel that Braun will make his presence known. 4: Alexa Bliss costs Nikki Cross the briefcase This could be a stretch, given the fact Alexa isn't cleared to compete. But what if her music hits, only for Nikki to be distracted. Then Nikki loses t

PWP Interview: "The Alpha Male" Monty Brown

Image
For a period time in both TNA and WWE, Monty Brown was a force. He was someone who could Pounce you (Or, should I say PPPOOUNNCCEEE?!?!?) right into the ground. He's someone that quite frankly to this day I'm still afraid and rightfully so. We here at PWP got a chance to talk to Monty Brown about his career, NFL, AEW and more. Here's the interview! Before your wrestling career, you played football for both the Bills and Patriots. How was that like, and how did it help you in terms of starting your career? " I knew I was an athlete. I felt a little burned out with football and decided to give professional wrestling a shot." Looking back, do you wish you would have continued with football?  "I do regret not having a longer NFL career, but I don’t regret transitioning to wrestling." Shortly after your football career, you started in TNA. Did TNA actively recruit you? Who influenced you into trying out? "I had heard about TNA be

5 PPV Names you won't believe

Image
In the spirit of WWE announcing their June PPV entitled "Stomping Grounds," it got me thinking two things: One, how on bloody Earth can they call it "Stomping Grounds," when Tacoma Washington is far, far from a place WWE would call home. And secondly, what other bad PPV names were there? Well, today we are gonna' look at 5 PPV names you won't believe existed! 5. WWE This Tuesday In Texas Back in the 80's, WWE was trying some pretty experimental things. And this idea was one of them. Hailed as a "secondary PPV" show type of night, "This Tuesday In Texas" proved two things. That they had zero intent on calling it anything catchy, and that Tuesday nights was just not a good PPV night. For example, if I want to watch a premium show, it better be on a non-worknight. I'm looking at you, Sundays. It's kind of hard to believe this was show that featured Hulk Hogan vs a new Undertaker for the WWE Championship. What a crazy, craz
