5 Reasons CM Punk should join AEW

Image
Okay...You knew a CM Punk blog was going to be coming sooner or later. It's pretty obvious that every and their mother is talking about him making his "return" to wrestling at a show for independent promotion MKWrestling. Simply put, he showed up as a stealthy ninja, delivered a GTS, and made his exit. No one, I repeat no one knew it was him. But that itch has to be there for Punk, right? RIGHT?!?!?! Ahem...Anyway, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to see him being brought up to AEW, given his relationship with the Young Bucks. That being said, here are 5 reasons for CM Punk to join All Elite Wrestling! 5. More Creative Control If there's one thing that CM Punk hated in WWE, it was the fact that they constantly left him in a creative box. He felt that the Straight Edge Society broke up too son. He felt that him facing Triple H at Wrestlemania 30 was a bad idea. No matter what he would say or do, it wouldn't matter. WWE always seemed to have t

5 Championships you forgot existed.

In today's wrestling landscape, things move incredibly fast. One minute you have the likes of Kevin Owens in the title picture, then before you know it, Kofi Kingston is WWE Champion. Point is, with all 5, yes 5 WWE brands, things get swapped out constantly. That's in order to make room for newer, (Hopefully) fresher ideas that hopefully workout in the companies favor. But we tend to forget about certain aspects of those taken out of rotation. And today, we are going to revisit some of those forgotten memories, and here are 5 Championships you forgot existed. Keep in mind, it's not all WWE. Any title is up for debate. 5: WCW World Six-Man Tag Team Championship To start things off, we have to mention this little beauty. Back in the early 90's, WCW was still stuck on older-thinking ideas. You still have guys who were past their prime in WCW, and honestly they were barely making any noise in the wrestling community. In what I guess was an attempt to "Shake thin

5 Wrestling Goodbyes that were too much

Dean Ambrose just said his goodbye. And sucks. But nevertheless, it got me thinking. Despite what many may say about wrestling being..."fake"...The tears that one could shed is that equivalent to a dog running away, dropping a freshly opened popsicle, and stepping on a LEGO all in the same day. It's a brutal, painful image I know. And I do apologize. But with that said, today we are looking at 5 Wrestling Goodbyes that were just...Yeah. 5. Mark Henry...Kind of. Come on, admit it. You nearly lost in when Mark Henry came out on an episode of RAW in 2011 to announce his retirement. He would talk about his highlights, including Sexual Chocolate, and Mae Young giving birth to a...Hand. Oh wrestling. Anyway, it all ended when he proclaimed to his wife and kids that "Daddy is coming home," all the while John Cena was still in the ring. However, it was one of the best swerves the company ever pulled off, with Henry delivering a Worlds Strongest Slam on Mr. Thugg

5 Wrestlemania Matches you need to watch

Image
Wrestlemania 35 is this Sunday. And while we're all making plans to get there, or maybe going to a friends house to watch, this years event is on tap to be one of the hugest in history. We have women Main Eventing for the first time, an underdog story with Kofi Kingston and an undercard that is sure to entertain us. With that said, it got me thinking. What are some 'Mania matches you should watch to get you hyped up for Sunday? Well, today we're taking a look. We gotta' note that these matches aren't necessarily my favorites, but matches you NEED to watch. Hence you know...The title of this blog. 5: Edge vs. Mick Foley (Wrestlemania 22) This match is good. Pure and simple. And it's easy to see why, when you have two of the most magnetic characters in wrestling with Mick Foley and Edge. You throw in a very NC-17 Lita into the mix, and you have the makings for a hardcore classic. And that's what we got. The story here was that Edge blamed Foley for a lo
