5 NXT Stars due for a callup

Ever since NXT became a thing (Sorry, not the SyFy version), there have been many fans happy with the way the system works. Guys and gals get called up, and it does wonders for their careers. Names like Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns have done really well for themselves. However, names like Tye Dillinger and even Bayley have been left somewhat floundering. Although there have been names that seemingly have been left in the dust, there are names that you are just itching, waiting and dying to get called up because you know the type of impact it will have on their career. And today, we are gonna' count down those names!

                                                            5: Velveteen Dream
Dream has had an undeniable poise to him that is just hard to find. He's someone that connects with the crowd, athletically gifted, and did I mention freaking awesome? Seriously calling him 2019's Goldust would do a huge disservice to the Velvet One. That's not a knock on Goldust either; Velveteen is his own man, and the clock is just ticking while we we to see what he can do in matches with likes of a Chad Gable, or a Finn Balor.
4: Io Shirai

When I first saw Io Shirai in the Mae Young Classic, I was hooked. She was someone who had a huge moveset, and the crowd ate her up. While her character leaves a lot to be desired, she's one of the few that can get away with being just herself and making it work. The big question is, can she capitalize on what's in front of her? The Pirate Princess shows us just what work ethic is all about. Her gimmick though does remind me of someone...
3: Kairi Sane
Honestly, what kind of list would this be if we didn't add Kairi Sane? She has the charisma, talent, and above all else passion to keep going. While I'm not saying no one on this list has that, she has wow'd audiences regardless the ring. It's a mystery to me as to why she is still in NXT, but I know she is patiently waiting for her time to shine.
2:
Shayna Baezler is a no frills wrestler. Friend of "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey and a straight up badass, Sayna has laid waist to many down in NXT. However, like Sane, she needs to get called up sooner than later before her character turns sour with the NXT faithful. She is someone who has the toolset to do it. Man, imagine her facing Charlotte Flair in a Tables match? Oof.
1: Adam Cole (BayBay)
Did you really think we would have this list and not mention Adam Cole? Seriously, the guy can spit on a fan and call them "Stupidface," and the fans would only cheer for him even more. Having been the inaugural North American Champion down in NXT, it's clear that WWE has put a lot of trust into Adam Cole being the next breakout star. While he will undoubtedly get called up soon, fans are still lucky enough to simply enjoy the ride.

And that will do it for our list! Do you agree or disagree? Feel free to reach us on our Twitter and let us know!
